MAD has always believed that travel is one of the most important ways for architects to learn. Only by experiencing architectural space in person can we inspire different ideas and further understand ourselves. Avant-garde design needs to be rooted in local culture, which is exactly what MAD has been committed to and the concept we hope to convey to young architects.
This year, the sixth travel fund received more than 100 applications from architecture majors, environmental art design majors, etc. from universities across the country. The winners will receive a 10-14 day travel opportunity. After the trip, students will have the opportunity to publicly display their results.
The winners of MAD's 2014 travel fund are:
Sun Wei, undergraduate class of 2010, School of Architecture, Tianjin University, destination: Italy.

Zhang Boxuan, undergraduate class of 2011, Department of Architecture, Tsinghua University, destination: France.

Wei Tao, undergraduate class of 2011, School of Architecture, Central Academy of Fine Arts, destination: Greece.

Fang Xiaoyang, undergraduate class of 2010, School of Civil Engineering, Zhejiang University, destination: Japan.

Marseille, undergraduate class of 2010, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, destination: Switzerland, Germany.
