On February 21, the 24th Annual Meeting of the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum was officially held at the permanent venue of the Yabuli Forum designed by MAD.

More than 600 government leaders, well-known entrepreneurs and authoritative scholars discussed the growth and future of the economy, enterprises and culture under the theme of "Building a new development pattern and promoting high-quality development".

At the "Culture & Tourism Forum" of the 24th Annual Meeting of the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum, Ma Yansong discussed the relationship between architectural culture and the cultural tourism industry and said: Public buildings should be places where people can get spiritual "liberation". When public buildings have a spatial quality that is imaginative and beautiful, allowing people to relax and consciously immerse their imagination in it, consumers will gain a rare "emotional value", and it is particularly important for consumers to have this "emotional value".

Permanent venue of the Yabuli Forum

Designed by Ma Yansong MAD the permanent venue of the Yabuli Forum covers a total area of ​​22,000 square meters and a construction area of ​​16,000 square meters. It has more than 20 well-equipped conference rooms, libraries, and exhibition halls. It is a building that integrates conference, museum, training, think tank, and business school functions.

The entire building is like a tent under a snowy mountain, fully integrating the terrain and stretching out in the snow. The silvery-white soft roof replicates the ripples of the snowy mountain and the traces of snow on the earth, light and agile.

At night, the warm lights are lit, just like a tent with a burning bonfire. Human beings' spirit of exploring the unknown, seeking knowledge and truth, and perseverance shines here, day and night, passing on the torch, and guiding the direction for those who come after them.

Sunlight pours into the wooden lobby through the central skylight, creating a warm and soft atmosphere. The layers of texture make the space seem alive, breathing with the fluctuations of sunlight.

The main venue, which can accommodate nearly a thousand people, is a completely column-free space. No matter where you are, you can feel the comfort and tranquility brought by the wide space.

The LED screen behind the 350-seat lecture hall is designed to be openable. When opened, it faces the snow slope on the west side, and the audience can take in the beautiful outdoor scenery.

After its completion, the project won multiple international awards, was named the 2021 Dezeen Awards Best Cultural Building, and won the 2021 Architizer A+Awards Auditorium/Theater Category Professional Jury Award.
