As of June 30, the 2009 MAD Travel Fund received 237 applications from 69 architecture schools across China. Many applicants chose very interesting travel destinations and showed their unique potential. We would like to sponsor more students to realize their travels, but due to limited funds, we finally selected 5 students to receive the travel fund.

These five students will travel to the places of their choice this summer. We hope that such an architectural journey in their youth can help them touch the fascinating history; question the spiritual significance of construction; discover their research interests, and find clues to the future in places where the details and wisdom of life are deposited. These five students will submit their travel notes after returning home to share their gains with more students, and we will also publish them in subsequent reports.

Thanks again to all the applicants. The MAD Travel Fund will continue to support the travel of Chinese architecture students in 2010.
