MAD Travel Fund was founded by Ma Yansong in 2009. Every year, MAD Travel Fund sponsors 5 Chinese college students to travel around the world for architecture. So far, MAD Travel Fund has been held for 7 consecutive years, successfully sponsoring 35 architecture students to realize their wish of traveling around the world. MAD believes that travel is one of the most important learning methods for architects. Only by experiencing architectural space in person can we inspire different ideas and further understand ourselves.

This year, the MAD Travel Fund successfully arranged for the winning students to meet with American architectural master Robert Stern and Japanese architect Kazuhiro Kojima. After returning home, the winners will have a one-on-one workshop discussion with Ma Yansong and present their travel results and insights at the Travel Fund Report Conference.
