At the invitation of Peter Cachola Schmal, director of the Deutsches Architecture Museum, Ma Yansong went to Frankfurt to attend the "International High-Rise Night" forum held on November 20. As a guest of the forum, he delivered a speech on the future of high-rise buildings and participated in the special discussion. Petra Roth, the mayor of Frankfurt, was present at the scene and delivered a speech for Ma Yansong's lecture.

The "International High-Rise Night" forum was founded in 2002 and has been committed to providing a platform for communication for the world's top real estate developers, architects, bankers and urban experts, and awards the "International High-Rise Building Award" twice a year. Other speakers at this year's forum include: Dr. Norbert Walter, Chief Economist of Deutsche Bank, Dr. Franz Josef Jung, German Minister of Labor, Stefan H. Lauer, member of the management team of the German Lufthansa Group, and Peter W. Budde, former U.S. Consul General in Frankfurt.
