With the theme of "Shanshui City", Ma Yansong shared his design concepts and exploration practices based on the oriental "Shanshui Spirit" in recent years through projects such as the Monroe Building, Harbin Cultural Island, and Huangshan Taiping Lake Apartment: "Some people say that my works are full of futuristic sense. But for me, my works also remind me of canyons, deserts, and those natural things that have always been there. I hope people can experience the existence of nature in architecture and imagine their place in the long river of history."
The "Second West Coast Innovation Seminar" was hosted by "Architectural Record" and invited leaders from various fields of the industry to discuss different ways and means for the construction industry to solve source problems in a rapidly changing society.
