Shanshui City is about the ideal of future human settlement. What is the ideal state of human settlement? How to build a reasonable human settlement city instead of an emotionless living machine made of reinforced concrete? This is the attempt and exploration of this exhibition. This exhibition focuses on the problems of natural environment and living space brought about by the rapid urbanization in China today, and explores the connection between the concept of Shanshui and modern urban construction.

MAD has proposed and practiced the concept of "Shanshui City" for many years. It goes beyond the functionality of architecture as a "living machine" and goes deep into the emotional connection between architecture and city and people. It combines the density, function and natural landscape of the city to build a future city with human spirit and emotion as the core. Shanshui City is rooted in Chinese culture, based on the current situation of the city, and re-establishes a new direction for the development of Chinese cities based on culture, creating an open, poetic and human living environment.
