"Towards the East - China's Architectural Landscape" opens today at the MAXXI Museum in Rome. The exhibition is a showcase of contemporary Chinese architecture from the past decade.

Curator Fang Zhenning selected several MAD works, from Ma Yansong's early works "Fish Tank", Hutong Bubble No. 32, to the recently completed Ordos Museum and the 385-meter-high Urban Forest - a high-density urban high-rise that expresses its adherence to naturalism and hopes to reawaken the feelings for nature in the monotonous modern city.
